At Monumentals Design, we approach each project with a holistic vision that insinuates something much deeper, bigger, purposeful in life, and qualitatively different. Our design firm, based in California, is dedicated to creating sacred spaces, something “beyond” that is not just aesthetically pleasing, but also deeply meaningful and emotionally impactful.

The founder, Raffi Tarkhanian, an award-winning interior designer, holds a MA degree in Interior Architecture from USEK University, and is the recipient of, the prestigious International Property and the Arshile Gorky Awards.

Raffi has a profound interest in projects that possess spiritual and human values. His expertise in designing sacred spaces, museums, memorials, and monuments demonstrates his ability to capture and translate deep emotions into distinctive spatial experiences. By infusing a poetic vision of the world into his work, Raffi creates environments that emanate a sense of belonging and reflect the true essence of the human spirit.

Over 25 years of extensive experience, his passion creates true possibilities for a deeper understanding and experience of the metaphysical sights.

In Raffi’s perspective, doing good by or through architecture is the most direct and compassionate way to reach God, and participate in His works; it is like “casting light into the matter” to ignite the Divine pattern on art and architecture.

In Raffi’s thoughts, “I was not me” is always expressed in many challenging projects, highlighting creativity, where the divine meets the earthly.

At Monumentals Design, the project is being transcended: geometric proportions turn into vibes, stone into skins, rituals into insights, light into joy, space into contemplation, time into heightened presence (or absence). These metaphysical dimensions are immeasurable when spirituality intersects.
